Spiritual and Ministerial Journey
Pastor Laurent Mascar NGOMA from the republic of Congo, gave his life to Jesus Christ in 1982 and was baptized in water in December 1986, marking the beginning of his deep commitment to the Christian faith. He quickly took on important responsibilities, notably serving as the youth leader of the Evangelical Bible Circle within the Evangelical Church of Congo, where he was actively involved. His ardent faith and divine calling led him to embrace an apostolic ministry.
Pastor NGOMA was ordained as a pastor by Pastor E.A. Adeboye on 17th April 2011, at Destiny International Christian Assembly in London. His ministry quickly evolved into an apostolic calling when he became, just after his ordination, the deputy Senior Pastor of RCCG in Sao Tome and Principe. He has had the opportunity to preach, teach, and train young people and servants of God. From 2011 to 2018, he worked as the Deputy Senior Pastor of the RCCG Sao Tome and Principe headquarter, and stood-in as a full-time Senior Pastor due to the unavailability of the national coordinator while in treatment in the USA. Having spearheaded ministry with the UN diplomatic function, Pastor NGOMA impacted the country by forming the Wednesday of Winners (WOW) programme where he organised evangelical dinners weekly for highly-ranked authorities and national decision makers, exposing them to the word of God. This programme brought a considerable church growth to the Sao Tome and Principe parishes, and impacted the life of many in the land. To date, Pastor NGOMA has left an undeniable landmark and legacy in the country. He has preached in over 50 parishes across several African countries, within the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) headquarters in Ghana, Togo, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Congo as well as in other sister churches of the Body of Christ – both as an associate pastor, visiting pastor, speaker or panel member. He continues to preach regularly in branches of RCCG across Africa as a visiting pastor, delivering a message of spiritual edification, reconciliation, and transformation through the Word of God. While serving in RCCG Sao Tome and Principe, Pastor NGOMA’s family joined RCCG Christ’s Love Assembly (CLA) Oxford in 2010 where he preached his first sermon in the same year.
