- For some people, there will be accelerated promotion this year
- There will be deeper knowledge of the word of God for some people this year
- For those that are committed to His service, the world will begin to see what a man and God working together can do this year.
- Whatever you and God tackle together this year will be accomplished
- Whatever you and God resist together this year shall crumble.

Reflections from RCCG International Congress in Nigeria
I bring good tidings to you all from the just concluded 10th Holy Ghost Congress themed THE NEXT LEVEL. The program was held at the new Congress Arena – “The world biggest Auditorium” which is about 1.2 x 0.5 km in dimension which can comfortably sit over 4 million people. The awesomeness of His Presence in the arena was mighty! It’s quite amazing how everything – crowd control, traffic, petty-business people (just trying to make money), etc. worked out smoothly. This can only be God! We (over 150 delegates from RCCG, NA) had a wonderful time in the presence of the Lord. Testimonies of miracles abound in our lives and in the lives of some other delegates from all over the world!
The 6 days program was fully loaded. The highlights were Daddy G.O.’s ministrations on There is room at the Top, Give me this Mountain, Let My People Go, Let the Fire Fall and the Friday Holy Ghost service, “The Next Level” and Saturday, “Anointing for the Next Level”. We were also blessed by ministrations from anointed men / women of God like Mummy G.O., Rev. Oritsejafor, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, Bishop Wale Oke, Pastor Bamidele Sturdivant, and Dr. Ira V. Hilliard, who flew in his private Gulfstream Jet with his wife Bridget, daughter and son in law. During the day-time, there were various plenary sessions / talks and discussions on moving God’s people to the next level: Principles of small and medium scale enterprises, principles of business management, employer rather than an employee; investment for your future, the Christian lawyer and principles of home management. Definitely, you can’t be bored if you were on the Redemption Campground.
The climax of the messages was on Friday night, when Daddy G.O. spoke on “The next level.) His text was from Psalm 40:1-3. Daddy stated that the world is at various levels, and that Sickness, health and even victories are at different levels. He illustrated that on wealth, stating that we have the destitute, the poor, the comfortable, the rich, the very rich, the wealthy and the flourishing. On the final rally on Friday night, the big auditorium was inadequate for the attendees of the program.
Give Me this Mountain – Jos. 14:6-14 (Message by Daddy G.O. for day 2) Introduction: From the beginning of the Congress, Daddy G.O. stated that the world and life are like a mountain. It is big at the bottom and narrow at the top; crowd at the bottom and few at the top; masses at the bottom and outstanding few at the top. He prophesied, “As the Lord lives, we shall all get to the next level” in Jesus name. Examples of the outstanding few are: Daniel (Dan. 6:1-3). 120 were chosen to look after the kingdom; three were selected as governors and only one was distinguished or preferred. After Jesus’ resurrection, he appeared to over 500 witnesses; only 70 were selected as ambassadors, and only 12 were selected as apostles. Out of the twelve, only three where in the inner circle and out of the three it was only one that was called the beloved. “For many are called, but few are chosen” (Matt 22:14). You shall be among the chosen few! There is no next level without persistence, pain and struggle. You are rewarded based on the problem you help solve!
Jos. 14:6-14 is the story of Caleb who was among the twelve sent by Moses to spy out the promised land that God already gave to the Israelites. Caleb and Joshua were the only two with good report, hence, they went to the next level. They were amongst the outstanding few who faced the mountain squarely and got the problem resolved.
What are mountains? When you identify your mountains, like Caleb, you can ask God, “Give me this mountain” - Here are 7 things that can be classified as mountains:
- Problems: – The plan and purpose of God for our lives is that we become problem solvers. This is where we obtain our relevance. Doctors are valued based on the problems they diagnose and solve. Auto-mechanics are valued based on the auto problems they can repair and resolved. A pastor once prayed, Lord send all the sick people, barren people, and jobless people to my church – when they come, I will pray, then Lord solve their problems to expand your kingdom. The Lord will make you a problem solver in Jesus name
- Obstruction to your destiny – 1 Sam 17:8-9; Goliath was the mountain standing in the way of David’s destiny. Goliath said “…choose ye a man for yourselves and let him come down to me. If he is able to fight with me and kill me, then we will be your servant forever…” At the end of the day, Goliath the obstructer was removed; David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and kills him” (vv. 51-52). Every obstruction at home, work and life shall fall like Goliath fell in Jesus’ name, and you will move to the next Level
- People you considered friends, but don’t want you to move to the next level – In Gen. 12:1-3, Abraham was told to leave without his relatives. However, he took Lot with him. Failure to obey God completely led to famine and loss of communion with the owner of the vision. No news, no miracles, no breakthroughs until Lot was separated from him. (Gen. 13:14-18). Every Lot of your life, pretending to be friends but are the cogs-in-the-wheel of your next level shall be removed by fire in Jesus name.
- A Stepping Stone to your next level. The bible says “…being led up to a mountain, He took Peter, James and John and led them up on a high mountain by themselves and He was transfigured before them” (Matt. 17:1-2). He is leading you up the mountain which shall be a stepping stone for God to reveal Himself to you at the next level.
- A way for God to prove HE is your real friend – Until your face your mountain squarely, you won’t know "the might" in the Almighty! Ps. 125:1-2 says “…as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord will surround you” What a friend indeed!
- A gift wrapped with problems (It is camouflaged) – No testimony without a test. Big problem means big testimony and the bigger the problem, the bigger the testimony. In 2 Chr. 20:1-20, for Jehoshaphat to move to the next level his gift was wrapped around the three kings of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir. The gift must be unwrapped, for Jehoshaphat and his people to move to the next level. This is the door to his prosperity. The God that fought for Jehoshaphat will fight for you!
- The Inheritance God promised you, waiting for your collection? – The promises are yours – It is for you to take it by force, “…from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. (Matt. 11:12)” I am waiting no longer; your promises for my life must be fulfilled!
Conclusion Elijah was a man of like passion and he prayed. (James 5:17-18). The next level you are seeking for is yours for the asking.
Brethren, from this brief summary, I am sure you are inspired to be a partaker of next year’s Holy Ghost Congress. Begin to plan towards it from now and the Lord will grant you the desires of your heart in Jesus’ name. Next year I am expecting us to charter an Airbus plane as RCCG, NA delegates for the Holy Ghost Congress 2008.
